Billericay made it six games unbeaten, but took only one point from a game they should have taken three. Billericay were outstanding in the first half. Nathan Elder unselfishly crossed for Ross Wareham to lash home one of Billericay's best goals of the season. Tom Poole then made it 2-0 soon later, which made it 3 goals in 3 games for the outstanding 18 year old. Leon Hunter's quick free kick bamboozled the Hendon defence and Poole finished a very easy goal. Billericay should have gone in at half time 4 or 5 goals up, but Elder and Poole missed opportunites. Nathan Elder was put through one on one with the keeper by Jamie Dormer, but hit his shot at the keepers legs when he really should have done a lot better. Elder's lack of scoring touch in recent week's is worrying when he really should have scored at least half a dozen goals in recent games. Billericay came out in the second half a different side that looked uninterested. This rubbish attitude cost the game and Hendon scored two goals to get an undeserved point. Jamie Dormer was stretched off after a poor challenge from John Frendo, which the referee bizarrely failed to show a card for or add on the five or so minutes of injury time this stoppage should have brought. Brightley stupidly gave away a penalty for the first and poor defending from McSweeney resulted in the second half. Players need to step up or step out if this continues, not good enough!. |
